I have loved making art my entire life

It lived under the surface for a few years while I studied to become a Registered Nurse and
raised my family, but it has always been an important part of me, infused deep in my heart and soul.

As my family became more independent, I devoted more time to creating all kinds of artwork. For more than 12 years I have been carving, rerooting, styling and customizing (mostly) ooak Blythe dolls - the Petite Wanderlings, building their miniature worlds with props and sets, designing and sewing tiny fashions and plush toys, along with practicing photography, dabbling with interior design, sculpting, making jewelry and creating mixed media style art.

Something shifted in 2015 and I started spending more time drawing again and learning to paint figurative, portrait and abstract style art with oils, acrylics, watercolor, collage and anything I can get my hands on.

Although I am self-taught in many areas, I found myself greatly struggling with acrylics.  So, I went in search of the best teachers, workshops and classes I could find online and in-person and look forward to sharing those experiences with you.

My hope is to be ever evolving, growing and changing.  In pursuit of lifelong learning.  An eternal work in progress.

I'm not sure where this new path will take me, but I plan to learn and share as much as I possibly can along the way.

“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever." - Steve Jobs
